With more than 15 years of pastoral ministry, Rev. DH has dedicated his life to helping people know Jesus and love others the way he did — through the practice of deep, intentional listening. His work bridges scripture, communication, and human connection.
Currently completing doctoral studies, Rev. DH brings academic rigor and social warmth to his conversations — whether in the pulpit, the classroom, or the office.

Why We Exist
Jesus Christ loved people well, in part, through how he listened to them. We believe that learning to listen like Jesus can be as loving — and sometimes more loving — than speaking. And that hearing who people are is often a big part of helping them see who God is and experience God for themselves.
The Hear the Heart logo is made up of four question marks and one heart. In John's Gospel, Jesus' use of questions is clearly on display — through them, he got to the heart of people and shared the heart of his message. Everything we do here is dedicated to helping people listen like Jesus.
